It's been quite a whirlwind of a past few weeks, resulting in some of the best photographs I've made. I feel grateful to have been entrusted by these folks with such a cool task, and equally lucky to have been able to travel through such a gorgeous autumn.
Of the handful of family portrait sessions I've taken on this year, I've done a few exclusively in-studio. And I love that. A simple background, for me, translates into no unnecessary clutter and 100% of the focus landing squarely on personalities... be they in the form of a straight face or a hilarious outburst or a pensive stare or a ridiculous dance or a dog-pile or a for-no-rhyme-or-reason sumo wrestler pose.

"Exquisite folks; exquisite taste." Words spoken by Drue's father, spoken just right.
